My name is Cosmin Cordos - BODYHATER - a self-taught multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges surrealism, abstraction, and mixed-media storytelling. Having worked in Romania between 1994 and 2007, they initially explored artistic expression through clay sculpting and charcoal drawings, mastering the raw, tactile language of form and shadow. Now, I continue a continuous creative evolution by studying and experimenting with acrylic painting, blending their sculptural sensibilities with dynamic color, texture, and narrative depth.
My work is a deeply personal exploration of memory, dreams, and the subconscious, often featuring surreal figures, fragmented compositions, and vintage photographic elements. With a signature aesthetic that merges nostalgia with psychological tension, my artwork invites viewers into intricate dreamscapes where reality and imagination blur.
Recurring themes in my artworks which I try to bring to life include:
Dreamlike Symbolism & Abstraction: Fluid forms, layered textures, and surreal juxtapositions created visual poetry that speaks to the complexities of human complex emotions.
Raw, Expressive Textures: Drawing from my background in clay work, my universe of acrylic paintings retain a sculptural quality, with layered surfaces and tactile elements that heighten emotional depth.
Psychological & Societal Reflection: my spaces and canvases i finalize work often critiques themes of identity, isolation, and media influence, offering a mirror to both personal and collective consciousness.
